Maybe u have /etc/hosts entries or some caching. Try the following:

  host ns1.elshost.com 66.246.48.57
  host ns2.elshost.com 66.246.48.57
  host ns1.elshost.com 66.246.48.58
  host ns2.elshost.com 66.246.48.58

You also might wanna check that the elshost.com SOA matches:

  $ host -t soa elshost.com
  elshost.com             SOA     ns1.elshost.com kevmaz.lineone.net (
                          1056121324      ;serial (version)
                          28800   ;refresh period (8 hours)
                          7200    ;retry interval (2 hours)   
                          3600000 ;expire time (5 weeks, 6 days, 16 hours)
                          86400   ;default ttl (1 day)

output from my unix box based in London :

I only seem to have problems with the za.net domain as I have registered a
co.za and two .com domain names with these same nameservers.
