Something to think about, but I may be completely off track here.
What is the connectivity of the elshost.com network like? Over here
(on a sadly overloaded leased line in Port Elizabeth) I have noticed
that DNS lookups can be a bit inconsistent at times. Chances are that
this inconsistency is due to the fact that DNS is mainly UDP based
and UDP is not a guaranteed service protocol. If the connection is
lossy some UDP packets (like DNS queries or responses) get lost.
I do notice that both elshost.com DNS servers seem to be on the same
network, if at all possible it may be a good idea to get another one
on a different network. not always easy I know, I've been looking for
a machine off-site to act as ???-dns.preciseic.net for quite a while
now (Had a us1-dns.preciseic.net for a while, but the host went
bust).
