The ISP under discussion here now has some instructions up on their website about how to transfer domains away from them. Please refer to http://dataspace.co.za/ and specifically the first FAQ at http://dataspace.co.za/q1.php for more information. I quote it here for the sake of completeness: "To transfer .za.net and .za.net domain names to a new internet service provider the following document must be downloaded and sent to zanet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - All requests not sent through to zanet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx will be ignored and deleted. The form is available at: http://www.za.net/template.txt - Please submit the form through to us as an .txt attachement!!" That does indeed sound like a much easier way of transferring domains away than all the legal procedures I listed below.
