They're ideal for really small clients (private businesses or non-profit
orgs) who might turn their nose up at paying a few hundred rand for a domain.
I've been able to sell a number of people (and at least one ISP) on the idea.
I do think that za.{net, org} should be more widely publicised among smaller
ISPs and Web developers, though.
An idea might be to get one of the Web companies who host a local banner-ad
service to be sympathetic to the cause.
What you definitely want to do is keep za.{net, org} "respectable". Like it
or not, flashy banner ads on high-profile and graphically well-designed sites
is one way to do this. Nobody will take a company with (say) an ml.org
domain seriously. This is just bad marketing of the concept, IMHO.
