I had a similar mission with Network Solutions when registering a .COM
domain name and using my .co.za name servers. Eventually I gave up and
went to Register.com.

When you register your domain there, they give you a chance to add your
nameservers (hoth and that other one) as well as their IP addresses. This
worked for me, and they seem to have an automated system which updates the
NetSol registry before the Internation root servers are updated.
