Couldn't agree more. In my day-job, we're just completing cleaning up an old mail system on which the company offered free email accounts (and web frontended email) a few years ago to take some pressure off the mail relays, spam filters and storage. In just over a week we've deleted over half a million email accounts that are "active" (ie: receiving and accepting mail) but hasn't been checked in over 6 months. Amazing what a difference that's already made to the legitimate users of the systems in question. But also what a pain it is for all sysadmins. - Christiaan -- ZA NiC Hostmaster http://www.za.net/ hostmaster@xxxxxxxxxx Tel/Fax: +44 1442 240870
