Well the error means that the name servers you have listed on the template (ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com) do not know of your domain.

However,  I just did a quick lookup agains ns1.mydomain.com and it is claiming to be authorative (note the "aa" in the flags section) for 
steveira.za.net as you can see below.  It lists ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomain.com, ns3.mydomain.com and 
ns4.mydomain.com as servers that should be able ot authoratively answer questions from this domain.

I guess what has happened here is you had submitted the template 
za.net before ns1 through ns4 had reloaded the newly registered zone data and hence when the template was checked they did not know about your domain yet.  Remember most DNS servers at ISPs are reloaded on a schedule, say every 6 hours or whatever the ISP's policy is, and even though you may register a domain now, the server will only know about it when it reloads its configuration file (which could be in several hours) and learns that it now needs to load the zone file for your new domain and start answering questions about it in an authorative way.  If you want to avoid this in future, first manually check if the name servers you are going to use as your primaries are responding correctly using the nslookup utility in windows or nslookup or preferably dig in linux/unix/*bsd before you submit you registration template.

Some pointers though, on your template, complete as many of the name servers as you have that are authorative (that gives people looking for you more choices to get information about your domain) also add the IP addresses of the name servers for completeness and resubmit the template.
