[FreeDNS] Registration queue over 400????

Hello all,

I've sent in a registration on the 10th of January 2006. Upon querying
my place in the queue 5 minutes ago (16:50 GMT+2) this is what I got:

I understand that PLiG is manned by volunteers, and that the ZA NIC,
being a free registry, cannot really be thought of as having the same
SLA as a commercial registry. Still, I see numerous offers to help with
the workload in the mailing list archives, and I'm also offering my time
and effort to the cause. 

How can the above situation be avoided? This is rather distressing.
