I must say that I am dissappointed with the lack of response to this
request. It seems to me that some people do not appreciate the effort you
guys put in and the expenses you have covered (in time and other costs) to
provide these services free.

I am in the process of developing something for you and hope that we can put
a eye catching (while still fast loading) site with all the features of the
guys with lotsa money.

Christiaan, I will be emailing you shortly a sample for preview (I am
working on it now).

Hi all,

It was well over 2 years ago now that we started publicly registering
domains under the za.org and za.net subdomains. We are now up to
a few thousand subdomains and registration rates have never slowed
down, even though we never actively advertised the service. I think
that proves that there is a demand for such a free service.

I'd like to thank lots of people on this list for their continued
support and also say thanks to those who have over time volunteered
their time to keep things rolling along.

As you may be aware, ZA NiC is operated entirely by volunteers in
their spare time. We are about to update the website a bit to bring
it up to date and it was suggested that we ask around to see if
anyone would help us to design a new look for the site. We will
gladly give public credit on the site for any graphics used, and
although the site only gets a few thousand hits a day it may still
be valuable exposure for anyone who wants to get their work known.
