This should probably be in the ZA NiC FAQ. :-) ZA NiC registrations are handled by a small group of dedicated (and sometimes semi-dedicated) individuals. The process is only semi-automated. A measure of personal interactivity on the part of the administrators ensures that the za.net and za.org domains do not dissolve into complete chaos and anarchy. Obviously, none of the ZA NiC administrators get paid for this, and they process queries as and where it is convenient for them. This means that you can easily wait 3 days. And yes, in extreme cases, it is possible that you may have to wait as long as 3 weeks. (That should hardly ever happen, though.) As with most free services, it comes with a full money-back guarantee. :-) Genuinely urgent cases can probably be posted to this list - I know the ZA NiC administrators do read it - but if this is at all abused I'm sure such requests will lose all relevancy. > Any help would be appreciated. Not much help, I'm afraid; just an explanation of the status quo. -- V _____________________________________________________ FreeDNS ZA NiC - free domain names freedns@xxxxxx Archive: http://www.za.net/freedns/
